Hold the phone… wine

You thought my one & only love was beer, didn’t you

I do love a good beer, but this Momma is an equal-opportunity drinker!

I enjoy a good cocktail and an excellent glass of wine if the moment calls for one.

So when the good people at the California Wine Club offered me a 2-month membership, I savored that opportunity!

They are offering a similar opportunity for you!! Check out what the California Wine Club is giving away…

Prizes include:
1) One of four, Three Month Wine Club memberships (A $150 value you can give as a gift, or keep for yourself)
One of 50 handy Two Bottle Wine Totes ($25 value)

Don’t let California Wine Club owners Bruce & Pam Boring’s last name fool you. Bruce & Pam actually travel all over California’s Wine Country to personally taste & approve each bottle they select for their customers. Bruce & Pam Boring focus on limited releases you may not be able to find anywhere but the winery itself.

My first pair of wine bottles came from The Robledo Family Winery. The red was a Tempranillo and the white was a Sauvignon Blanc

I am partial to red wines, but this bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc had a little more of a kick to it than the sweeter whites I’m used to. The citrus & oak notes were a delicious surprise.

After I allowed the Tempranillo to breathe for a half-hour, this red wine offered up a lot of body and a beautiful hint of spice & cedar… everything I enjoy about red wines.

Both wines were a success… and disappeared faster than I would’ve liked!

Check out next month’s California Wine Club post for another giveaway… and a Vlog-tasting!
