My Beer of the Week comes from… SEATTLE!
Yes, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone in Michigan… sort of.
Here’s the twist: Two Beers Brewery’s Head brewer Joel VandenBrink is from Holland, Michigan.
I can’t help it, I’m a Michigan-loving gal, and I love supporting my fellow Michiganders… especially when they create such a delicious product!!
Two Beers Brewing’s philosophy?
Life is just a little more honest after Two Beers.
Yes, yes it is.
If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m a generally honest person by nature, so when I stopped by Big Bob’s recently, Rob recommended Two Beers Evolution IPA to me while sharing their fantastic story… I was hooked.
And then I tasted Two Beers Evo IPA and I loved it even more. At 6.2% ABV, I could absolutely drink more than two. Evo IPA has a beautiful dark amber look to it, when poured fresh from the tap. The initial bitter hop flavors of pine up front soon made way for that citrusy edge I love, followed by a carmelly malt finish to it. Very drinkable IPA for those leery of IPAs.
Where can you find Two Beers? Find them on tap in your favorite brew-pub, and in cans and bottles on select beer-loving store-shelves throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Michigan and Vancouver, BC.

If you have a suggestion for a beer I MUST try in the coming weeks, please email me: MommaNeedsABeer {at} gmail {dot} com with the subject Beer of the Week. Although I adore having access to many delicious Michigan beers, I’d love to expand my palate to beers with broader availability. If I choose to feature your beer, I will send you a MNAB magnet and mention you on here as well as facebook and twitter, if you’re into such things.
